Recycler Wastes No Time Growing in TX

Electronics recycler GEEP Texas LLC is investing $3.5 million in new recycling equipment, hiring 13 new employees and tripling the size of its facility with a move to Grand Prairie.

The expansion comes as the company’s Canadian parent, GEEP International, seeks a greater presence in Texas, said Rick Lewis, managing director of GEEP Texas.

The Lone Star State is one of many where the green movement is forcing makers of computer products to recycle the waste.

GEEP, an acronym for Global Electric Electronic Processing Inc., uses its processing equipment to crush and grind electronic waste, sort and extract plastic and metal, then recycle it, Lewis said.
